It should be called Great Plumbing!

We wanted a disposal installed and they sent out a nice guy who's been a plumber for a long time. The underside of our sink was a little tricky but he attacked it with no problem. An hour later and we had a disposal installed and the plumber gave us some tips to keep everything running smoothly.

I will never go anywhere else for a plumber..

I love "Express Plumbing!" I never thought in a million years I would be writing about plumbers but these guys were so great I couldn't resist.

I am totally inept when it comes to things about the house-plumbing, wiring, I have no clue. So when I got a frantic email from my downstairs neighbor that there was a serious leak in the building I had no clue what to do.

I was standing on the el platform trying to find a plumber when my friend texted me the number for Express Plumbing. She said they got good reviews on the Internet.

From the first second, I called these guys were so amazing! I was trying to explain that I didn't know what was wrong just they we some kind of water leak. They were extremely patient with me and agreed to head to my building and wait for me.

They arrived quickly and were so easy to work with. 2 plumbers investigated the problem, they explained everything to us. They fixed the problem and then tripled checked it!

The whole time they were completely professional, extremely friendly and made me feel like it really was no big deal. I put their number in my phone as my go to guys for ALL plumbing related issues in our building.

Earlier today while cleaning our basement, my wife noticed a significant amount of calcified gunk and a small pool of water on top of our water heater. After a few minutes of diagnostics (read as: i picked at it a little while then shrugged) I started calling plumbers. I found Express Plumbing Chicago through a google search after calls to a half a dozen numbers I found.

The president of the company, answered the phone himself listened patiently to my rather inept description of my problem and informed me that he'd have to call me back in 5-10 minutes to let me know if someone was available to come out today. He actually called back... In 5 minutes, no less! Anyone with a fair amount of experience dealing with business owners in the building trades should recognize what a miracle this seemed to be.

Brian informed me that his guy Kevin would be out to my house within an hour. Yeah, you heard me, within an hour. That's right, he was offering to get me a plumber in less time than it takes to get an order of sesame chicken and egg rolls delivered. You can imagine just how close I was to plotzing when 30 minutes later Kevin called to say that he was about 20 minutes away and how I very nearly wept when he actually showed up in 20 minutes.

As for the actual work, Kevin was a really great and charming guy. The job was done quickly and professionally, and Kevin cleaned up not only the mess he made, but also scrubbed off the previously mentioned calcified gunk before leaving.

The price was more than fair considering the quickness with which they responded to our call.

Aww, yes...being a homeowner is so much fun. Within our first 2 weeks of owning a condo we discover a leak in our spare bathroom....sigh.

Like in most desperate situations I turned to the internet for help and noticed the fabulous reviews for Express Plumbing. I called them up, had a nice chat with the very cheerful owner (Andy), and had a plumber scheduled to fix the leak!

Express Plumbing sent Kevin over to my condo who was not on time, but actually 10 minutes early for the appointment- nice!! Kevin was very knowledgeable and nice...even my neurotic pup warmed up to him within minutes! He fixed the leak within half hour, took a few pictures of my master bathroom to get me an estimate for a future renovation and was on his merry way. The total came to $127, which both my husband and I thought was a little expensive, but then again I"ve never hired a plumber so that's probably what they cost. And I was psyched that they took credit cards since I never have cash on me and couldn't seem to find my checkbook once again.

Let's hope I don't need a plumber again in the near future (besides the renovation project), but I'd definitely call Express Plumbing Chicago again for any plumbing needs!

My kitchen sink clogged on Sunday and I tried plunging, having my brother "snake" it, and finally Liquid Plumber (which never works). Of course the clog was so bad the Liquid Plumber just sat in the sink releasing caustic fumes all night.

So Monday I called these guys b/c I read all their reviews. They were really nice on the phone and made an appt for me that afternoon. The plumber called to say he was on his way and actually got there a little early. He was very quick and professional and effective. He even checked the downstairs unit and basement to make sure the clog had cleared all the way down the line and wouldn't back up again somewhere else. The cost was very reasonable and was actually less than I expected it to be.

I'm generally skeptical of using any service not referred to me by a friend. Maybe it's b/c I appear young, or b/c I'm a single female with no labor skills, but I have had many service people try and really dupe me. Like the guy who quoted me $3800 to install a door. Or when I bought a brand new car and brought it back to the dealer b/c the fuel gauge never registered fuel and was told "you have to wait 7000 miles for the gauges to loosen up!" Or the time on a different car when a mechanic convinced me I needed a new pig-tail wiring harness when I really just needed a new rear bulb.

Well you don't have to worry about those tricks with these guys at Express Plumbing. The final price was pretty much what was quoted on the phone. They're honest, good at their job, and I will definitely use them again when I'm ready to replace some old pipes.

Btw... When I called they stated they charge a standard rate on Saturday. I had thought if I called a plumber on Saturday I'd get price gouged. So if you need a plumber on the weekend you don't have to wait till Monday like I did:)

I can't say enough good things about Express Plumbing Chicago. They just left our place after replacing the hot and cold shutoff valves, installing our dishwasher, and fixing a leak in our bathroom faucet.

To begin -- they are incredibly professional and easy to talk to. When I first called I was impressed by how they easily assessed the situation (over the phone) and were patient dealing with my condo manager. I was able to send them pictures of our problems over email. The plumber and assistant they sent were equally as professional and even found ways to save me some money.

I would recommend them to anyone who wants a "good" plumber and one who they feel comfortable working with. (And the price wasn't too bad either).

After I showed them the plumbing issues, they explained what they would do and the cost involved. They went above and beyond to get the sink faucet that I wanted. They worked efficiently (even though my condo was sweltering!) and even cleaned up when they were done. Great customer service and friendly, professional plumbers--highly recommended!

I moved into a brand new gut rehab Chicago apartment, and so of course, I knew there would be little kinks we'd have to work out.

The first thing we noticed was the toilet wouldn't flush. I told the landlord about it and a week later, it still wasn't fixed. they said their plumber wasn't responding to them. I told him to find another plumber that can fix it and if it wasn't fixed I would find my own plumber and deduct the cost off my rent. The next day it wasn't fixed, so I was ready to take matters into my own hands. There was a possibility the landlord would have it fixed while I was at work, but i didn't know because no one was responding to me. But just in case I came home from work to find a still broken toilet, I wanted to know I could get a plumber in that night.

I called Express Plumbing after reading the good reviews. The owner said they work till 7, but was understanding to my situation and said if it was after seven, they would still come out, no extra charge, and he would do it himself if he had to. On my way home, they called me to ask if my toilet had been fixed but I didn't know because I hadn't been home yet. They said they had a plumber waiting and they would wait until I got home to call them back to let them know if i still needed them. When i got home, the Landlord had gotten the toilet fixed, and I called Express Plumbing back and said my problem had been solved and that's all they cared about - they weren't mad because i made them wait for nothing, they just wanted to be sure I was taken care of either way.

These guys will bend over backwards for you. Even though I didn't use them to fix my problem... it's good to know that if i ever need a plumber, I can count on them to be there for me.
